What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognize you or remember something between requests. AlphaHost uses a deliberately small set of them: only what's needed to make the platform work securely, not to track you across other sites or build an advertising profile.
Necessary cookies
These keep the platform functioning and can't be switched off if you want to use AlphaHost:
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and expires when your session ends or after the "remember me" period you selected at login.
- Security cookie: protects forms (login, registration, payment, profile changes) against cross-site request forgery, a common attack technique against web applications.
Functional and preference cookies
AlphaHost doesn't currently set additional preference-tracking cookies beyond the necessary ones above (for example, no cookie remembers a "dark mode" choice, since the platform doesn't offer a light mode). If that changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Security verification
Sensitive forms (login, password reset, the newsletter signup, and the contact form) are protected by an automated human-verification check, which may set its own short-lived cookie as part of confirming a request is coming from a real person rather than automated abuse. This runs at the moment you submit the form and isn't used to track your browsing afterward.
What we don't use
AlphaHost does not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or social-media tracking widgets.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because the necessary cookies above are required for login and security to function, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or submitting forms. This isn't a preference AlphaHost itself can offer a toggle for, since it would break the platform's core security protections.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies AlphaHost uses change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect it.
