Information we collect
To provide AlphaHost, we collect the information you give us directly: name, email address, phone number, and, optionally, company and address details, when you register an account or update your profile. We also collect the information generated by using the platform: subscription and billing history, invoices, payment confirmations, support messages, and basic technical data (IP address, browser type) used to keep the service secure and working correctly.
Payment information
Payments are processed through M-Pesa. AlphaHost records the transaction reference, amount, and status needed to confirm your payment and generate your invoice and receipt. We do not receive or store your M-Pesa PIN or full mobile money account credentials; those are handled entirely between your phone and the mobile network operator.
How we use your information

- To send transactional communications: payment confirmations, renewal reminders, security notices
- To send product updates and newsletters, only if you've opted in, and only until you unsubscribe
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

Cookies and similar technologies
AlphaHost uses a small number of cookies necessary for the platform to function: keeping you signed in, protecting against cross-site request forgery, and remembering your session. Analytics
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall usage patterns (e.g. which pages are visited, general error rates) so we can improve the platform. This is used in aggregate, not to build an individual profile of you for advertising purposes.
Communications
We send account and billing emails (verification, password reset, invoices, receipts, renewal reminders) as a normal part of providing the service. These are not optional and continue as long as you hold an account, since they relate to services you've actually purchased. Newsletter/product-update emails are separate and fully optional; you can opt out at any time from your profile settings or the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, without affecting your account or billing emails.
Third-party services
We share the minimum information necessary with a small number of service providers who help us run the platform: our payment network (M-Pesa) to process transactions, our email delivery provider to send account and billing emails, and an automated human-verification service to protect sensitive forms from bots. None of these providers is authorized to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep account and profile information for as long as your account is active. Financial records (invoices, receipts, and payment transactions) are retained beyond account closure where required for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, even if you close your account, since these obligations don't end when an account does. Your rights
You can access and update most of your own information directly from your account profile at any time. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account (noting the financial-record retention above) by contacting us using the details in Contact & Support. We'll respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable time.

We protect account and payment information using enterprise-grade security practices across every layer of the platform. See our Security Commitment for more detail on our approach, without disclosing specifics that would only be useful to someone trying to work around them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
